Born in 1885 in Gradizhsk, current Ukraine, and deceased in 1979 in Paris, France.

 

This major artist of Ukranian origins, naturalized French, led with her husband Robert pictorial research on light, the movement of colors, and their "simultaneous contrast". In their works, geometrical, colorful and vivid shapes are arranged in rythmic compositions announcing the abstraction of which they were amongst the pioneers.
