PAYSAGE N°88

2012

Jérémy LIRON

Painting

123 x 123 cm

Jeremiah Liron says the barrenarchitecture provides an opaque presence. With little or no vegetation, and acorner of sky. References to the cinema are numerous: composition demonstratinglow-angles, geometry, shade and light effects, distanced by the presence ofglass or plexiglass.

"Areas of bleached concrete and red bricks fall likeblades, dark lines slice through the canvas, terraces break into the sky, foundations cut into the earth," writes the art critic Philippe Dagen.
