Michael C. Klein

1953

After studying art and design in Cologne under Daniel Spoerri, in 1979 Klein devoted himself to painting of which he has an unusually wide conception.
Whether it be video, furniture or objects, all his creations involve the art of painting. He sees the pictorial space as a revealing force and form. For Klein, painting involves opening himself up to the chance of unique events created by the energy of painting.
Formation evokes the kinds of photos scientists make of accelerated particles in collision. Random images produced by technology that deliberately causes accidents to occur.
