Lives and works in Paris

After gaining a degree in pharmacy and biology, Buffardel shared her time between biology and her family life, but kept drawing all the while. She discovered her passion for sculpture much later and went on to study at the Fine Arts school in Krakow and the Duperré Applied Arts School in Paris.
She began sculpting directly with the hardest stones, such as alabaster, onyx and here, Brazilian marble. Her rather classic sculpture, whose design is often inspired by the female body, is a result of her formal teachings of Cubism and abstract sculpture.
