Parvine Curie

1936

France

French sculptor.

Curie’s first works evoke a legendary world full of fairies, imaginary animals, and primitive style figurines. She works by assembling a range of materials. Her work, influenced by journeys to historical or sacred places, has a monumental character. Her sculpture recounts the original myths or refers explicitly to religious traditions, such as Romanesque architecture, the pyramids and Eastern gods.
