Javier Pérez is part of the artist movement whose work is related to the body, and in particular, their own body. Acting as a real biologist, using multiple materials, Javier Pérez attempts to establish a dialogue between Nature and Man by changing the body to which he grafts elements of animal or plant. The works that result from mixing the three kingdoms of nature have a repellent beauty, expressing living in its perpetual evolution, its constant metamorphosis. Thus, for Javier Perez, the branches of trees are sanguine-coloured bronchial tubes. Red is his favourite colour, which he calls “the colour of vigour”.
