As we approach France's moment to host the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 21) in 2015, artists have not waited for the politicians to realise that the future of humanity is at stake.

A work of art in a kit from Benjamin Sabatier first appears in the form of a simple, even banal, cardboard box with a basic white label that states the contents of the box. It is all topped off with a black and white IBK logo. If you open it, you will find a colour design composed of coloured dots that create a geometric pattern.

Societe Generale is proud to reveal the artwork commissioned to Jean-Michel Othoniel on the occasion of the construction of the new Basalte building, in La Defense business district.

On the occasion of the Société Générale Group’s 150th anniversary, the French head office in collaboration with the Russian branch Rosbank are proud to announce the group exhibition “Perspectives”, held at the Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow (MAMM). The curators assigned to this project are the MAMM’s founder and Director, Olga Sviblova and Guy Boyer, Managing Editor of the French magazine about art, Connaissance des Arts and artistic advisor for the Collection.

Since 2011, independent exhibition curators have been invited to choose works from the Collection twice a year, so as to design an innovative display in the dedicated area on the 1st floor of the Towers in La Défense. From Régis Durand to Jean-François Chougnet, the curators’ edifying and unique approaches have shown very different aspects of the Collection.

Jean-François Chougnet was given carte blanche to produce an unprecedented amalgam of the art collections of both Societe Generale and its subsidiary Société Générale Maroc.
