Contemplation irrationnelle
2003
Philippe Ramette
Photography
150 x 120 cm
Contemplation irrationnelle, originally from a series achieved in 2003, is inspired by the swinging device experimented in the “Balcons” series. Using the inversion process of the image and of his own body as tools for his expression, the artist defies the laws of gravity. To make this photograph, the artist conceived an invisible prostheses, concealed under his clothes, his usual “suit and tie”. This allows him to experiment “irrational positions” during the short time required to take the picture.
