Françoise-Anne Dupertuis
1960
Swiss
Dupertruis is a Swiss artist who studied at the Fine Arts School of Lausanne. After setting up in Paris in 1985, she began working mainly with video film productions. In 1992, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs bought three of her works for various embassies, including the French Embassy in Luxembourg.
Her paintings are a contrast to her video work. She developed a meticulous technique of roller-pressing coloured paper on a frame. By highlighting the physical aspect of the painting, she creates a subtle layering of colours and material that invites the viewer to go beyond the initial perception and question the composition of the work.
