Born in 1953

Wellesz’ favourite materials are plaster, polystyrene and iron. She uses them together in works that are reminiscent of construction sites, ephemeral frames of buildings to be. The fragility, commonness and heterogeneity of the industrial materials are used by the artist to provide an almost archaeological vision of space.
