Bernard Pagès

Works on paper

65 x 100 cm

The attention he gives to untreated simple materials and the care for the mounting of the work is expressed in this ink on paper where the wood, paper and the brush strokes recall the work of the sculptor.
Bernard Pagès
France
Born in 1940
Part of the Supports-Surfaces movement, Pagès produced works that brought together unusual combinations of materials (rolls of wire fencing, corrugated sheets of iron). Then he went over to wood, which he would sculpt, bring together and lay out on the floor or the walls.
