Black marble
Anne-Marie Haas's sculpture technique is traditional and features the classic elements of representation and pre-eminence of the subject. Femme, produced between 1963-1964 has traces of Egyptian Antiquity, with the head in profile but a frontal view of the body, and the posture of crossed hands and legs. The treatment and the colour of the marble recall the funereal art of the pharaohs.
