For more than 20 years the Gao Brothers, Gao Zhen and Gao Qiang, have formed a brilliant artistic family duo whose rich work has sought to describe all the paradoxes of China during this period of profound change. They were born in Jinan, in Shandong province, in the north of China and studied art together. They now produce a virtuoso multimedia ensemble on the international scene that includes video, photography, theatre, performance, painting and sculpture, along with numerous critical essays on society and art and the exhibition commission with other artists.
